Libmanan, Camarines Sur

Libmanan is a municipality located in the province of Camarines Sur, Bicol Region. It is the largest town in Camarines Sur. The Bicol River snakes through the town of Libmanan. The town have several tourist attractions. Some of them are the Kulapnitan CaveEnkanto Falls and the Tres Marias Islands.

How to get to Libmanan:

By Plane:

Cebu Pacific and Air Philippines have several daily flights to Naga Airport, which is locally known in Bicol as Pili Airport. From Naga Airport, located in the town of Pili, you can ride a bus or a taxi bound for Naga City. The city is about 10 to 20 minutes ride from the airport. The bus fare from Pili to Naga City is 15 pesos. And then from Naga City, go to the bus terminal and then ride a bus bound for Libmanan or Cabusao. You can also ride a bus bound for Daet but be sure to get off at the junction going to Libmanan town proper which is about 10 to 20 minutes ride from the Maharlika Highway. You can also ride a jeepney or a van at the terminal near the LCC Mall located at Barangay Sabang. The travel time from Naga to Libmanan is 45 minutes to an hour.

By Bus:

From Manila, there are several buses bound to Bicol region. Ride a bus that is bound for Naga City or Legazpi City and then tell the driver to drop you off at the junction going to Libmanan town proper. And then from the junction, ride a tricycle or a jeepney going to the town proper. The usual travel time from Metro Manila to Libmanan junction is 8 to 10 hours. The travel time from Libmanan junction to Libmanan town proper is 10 to 20 minutes. There are a number of bus terminals in Cubao, Quezon City, that have buses bound for Naga City, Legazpi City and Tabaco City. There are also bus terminals in Pasay City, near Pasay Rotonda.

By Train:

The PNR has a regular train schedule for the Manila-Ligao City route. The train departs at Tutuban Station in Manila every 6pm and 8:30pm and arrives at Ligao City at around 6am the next day. Ride the train and get off at PNR Libmanan Station. The last station is Ligao City station which is 3 hours away from Libmanan so be sure to get off at Libmanan station. The usual travel time is 10 to 12 hours.

  1. I guess you all know Camarines Sur situated near Philippines. Camarines Sur is a best tourist spot to visit. Its best a place that one should visit in his life time. It includes Naga city which was a rich heritage, religious and cultural centre. You have to travel by plane to visit this area. Tickets are available online and it’s very easy to purchase from here.   2. Wonderful pictures of 'undiscovered' place! I grew up in Libmanan, but I have not been to these places. How did you get to the Barangay Bahao, and Barangay Bical from the Poblacion of Libmanan?

  5. been there last april 29-May 1 :) we stayed in Tagbac my (mom's hometown) just 30mins. boat ride luckily camsur is my mom's hometown we can stay as long as we wanted. our relatives are very accommodating as well the locals. surely to spent my summer there yearly :)))
