Tanay is a municipality located in the province of Rizal, Philippines.  It is bounded by the Sierra Madre mountain range and Laguna de Bay. Some of the places of interest in Tanay town are the Daranak Falls, Batlag Falls, Calinawan Cave and Masungi Rock. Tanay town is located in Region 4a, CALABARZON.

How to get to Tanay:

From Cubao, Quezon City, you can ride a jeepney bound to Morong or Antipolo and then  ride another jeepney bound to Tanay. From Shaw Blvd, Mandaluyong City, you can ride a jeepney bound directly to Tanay, Rizal. Travel time is about 1.5 to 2 hours.

How to get there:

From Cubao, Quezon City, you can ride a jeepney bound to Morong. 

From Shaw Blvd, Mandaluyong City, there are also jeepneys bound to Morong.

How to get to Magsaysay:


If you have a budget, then you can charter a flight going directly to Magsaysay town. This town has a small airport that can accommodate small aircraft.

If you don’t have that large amount of budget, then you can just ride a Cebu Pacific, AirPhilippines, Philippine Airline and ZestAir plane bound for Iloilo City. And then from Iloilo City port, ride a Montenegro or Milagrosa ship bound for Puerto Princesa. The port in Iloilo City for Puerto Princesa-bound ships is different from the port for those vessels that are bound for Bacolod and Guimaras. Just tell the tricycle driver to drop you off at the port for Puerto Princesa-bound ship. The Puerto Princesa-bound ship will have a stopover at Cuyo port before proceeding to Puerto Princesa. The travel time is 12 to 15 hours. And then from Cuyo port, ride a tricycle or a jeepney bound for Magsaysay. The travel time is 20 to 30 minutes.

You can also reach Magsaysay via Puerto Princesa. Ride a plane bound for Puerto Princesa and then from Puerto Princesa, ride a Montenegro or Milagrosa ship bound for Iloilo City. These ships will also have a stopover at Cuyo port. This is a much longer route compared to the Iloilo City-Cuyo route.

Vinzons, Camarines Norte

Vinzons is a 3rd class municipality in the province of Camarines Norte, Philippines.  The first recorded name of Vinzons was Tacboan and was later changed to Indan at which time the Mayor was Pedro Barbin. The town was renamed "Vinzons" in honor of Wenceslao Q. Vinzons, a former governor of the province. He was the youngest delegate to the Philippine Constitutional Convention of 1935, and a guerilla leader martyred by the Japanese during World War II. Vinzons is located in Region 5, also known as the Bicol Region.
