Matnog, Sorsogon Province

Matnog is a municipality in the province of Sorsogon, Philippines. It lies at the southernmost tip of the island of Luzon. Local elders say that the name Matnog comes from the word "matonog" (very audible) - that describes to the loud sound of the waves. The site of one of the busiest seaports in the Philippines, it is the jump off point to the Southern Philippines and vice-versa. Matnog is located in Region 5, Bicol Region.

Capas, Tarlac

Capas is a municipality in the province of Tarlac, Philippines. Originally a part of Zambales and Pampanga, the municipality contains the Capas National Shrine an Obelisk with a central bell, which was built and is maintained by the Philippine government as a memorial to the Filipino and American soldiers who died in Camp O'Donnell at Barangay Navy. Pilar, Bataan

Pilar is found in the southeast portion of the province of Bataan. It is bounded by Orion in the South, Balanga in the North, Bagac in the west and Manila Bay in the East. The highest elevation is 553 meters at Mt. Samat in Barangay Diwa. Pilar is located in Region 3, Central Luzon Region.

Alcoy, Cebu Province

Alcoy is a 5th class municipality in the province of Cebu, Philippines. From the history, its name came from Alcoi which is a city of Spain. When Spaniards came to the place during the Spanish era, some of them said that the place remind them of Alcoi, Spain, having a green and lushes environment and the simplicity of the place and the inhabitants. From then on, the place was called Alcoy (native slang of Alcoi). The town is located in Region 7, Central Visayas Region.

Samal, Davao del Norte


Island Garden City of Samal is a city in the province of Davao del Norte, Philippines. The name is often abbreviated into IGaCoS. There are two main Islands in IGacoS , Samal Island and Talicud Island which are situated at the Southern point. Other smaller Islands namely Malipano, Big Liguid and Little Liguid are also part of the city. Samal is located in Region 11, Davao Region.
