Laoag City, Ilocos Norte

The City of Laoag is located in the province of Ilocos Norte, Philippines.  It is the capital city of Ilocos Norte, and the province's political, commercial, and industrial hub. The name of the city "LAOAG" is a derivation of the Ilocano term "lawag", which means light/brightness. Laoag is located in Region 1, also known as Ilocos Region.
